This is Our Story

We have been providing DJ services since the mid 1980s with the first wedding DJ job in 1986.  In roughly 1996, Krystal Kastle DJ-Karaoke was formed by adding to the equipment and music library significantly (including adding karaoke as an option) .  With Kevin Yost at the helm, this business grew and flourished serving many clubs, parties and festivals with great success.  Even in its early days, these services were often delivered with lighting effects that differentiated it from all of it’s competitors.   Around 2008, the business expanded into providing lighting and sound services for live performers. Taking advantage of Kevin’s prior experience in live music entertainment, this side of the business grew and included many acts, some that moved on to Nashville to further their careers and also one that won 2015 Tejano Female artist of the year in San Antonio Texas. In 2016, this part of the business became know as Yost Lighting and Sound.

In 2015, Doug Yost joined his brother as a result of the growing demand and necessity to cover multiple events concurrently.  Doug brought with him an ability to exploit technology and guide in the introduction of wireless and digital automation to enhance productions further.  This has continued to this day as a more focused effort is being spent on updating technology and building the social media presence for all aspects of the business.

Together they continued to work together on many projects, especially the larger wedding and festival shows that demanded increased focus as they understood the high importance of these types of events. All along, we never lost focus of serving our core, serving many bridal couples to deliver memorable experiences for them to begin their married lives with. In 2018, we began to focus more towards the wedding DJ market.  Investments were made in equipment and marketing to aid in this side of the business. It is this phase of the business known as Celebrations DJ Entertainment Services.

In late 2018, a substantial investment was made to add Photo Booth to the services being offered.  With the acquisition of Pick N Click Photo Booth, we are now poised to be able to offer full service wedding and reception entertainment options. Each of these businesses exist separately or able to be combined to provide this full service offering for our clients. This is when the journey began! Building as we go. The future includes expanding more into this wedding business by increasing our exposure by leveraging regional wedding shows and other marketing tools. We are still striving to this day to improve our services and provide innovative ideas to make our services rise above the rest!
